The month of August flew by for me. Time keeps disappearing what seems like so quickly and I can't believe my birthday is already almost back around. Crazy stuff!

My August Favourites are a bit of a surprise for me because this time in July I wouldn't have dreamt of many of these products.




  
Last month I wrote a review on all of Benefit's New Eyebrow Products here and a couple of them crept their way into my July Favourites here. This month. a few things changed and I'm back to my beloved Gimme Brow*. But now, I have a new product which I love to use along side it which is Booki Brow's Trio Eyebrow Powder and Highlighter. This powder is the most smooth and luxurious eyebrow powder I've ever used, even compared to my Anastasia Brow Duo. The shade I use is Light Brown / Blonde and the middle shade is my perfect match. I first apply the powder and top it all off with Gimme Brow to set my brows down.

When it comes to lip products, I didn't own any of these products last month. They're all new to my life but I am definitely hooked. They're all liquid lipsticks and I imagined them to be drying, but they aren't. They feel like a comfortable mousse, yet last a long time on my lips too.

The three lip products are NYX's Lip Lingerie in Lingerie in 04 Ruffle Trim, ColourPop's Ultra Satin Lip in Alyssa and lastly, ColourPop's Ultra Matte Lip in Beeper. If I HAD to choose one, I'd probably say Beeper is my #1 favourite for this month when it comes to lips. But, I honestly love all three.

As we all know, waiting for our nails to dry is one of the biggest 'struggles' we have in our beauty routines. I'm usually quite good with not touching my nails but sometimes, I do nothing but ruin them in the space of 2 minutes. I've tried many products before to help my nail polish dry quicker in the past but none have worked quite as well as the Revitanail Instant Dry Drops*.

Unlike other products I've tried, Revitanail's is in what I can only describe as an eye drop packaging style. A couple drops later, I wash off the excess, and my nail is dry! Compared to other brands, the dry drops don't lessen the longevity of my nail polish or make my nails a weird texture. Virtually straight after using the dry drops the first time, I accidentally bumped my nails on the bench in my bathroom and I had no damage, at all.

These two hair goodies have been ALL that I have used. I posted a really large, in depth hair care routine post a couple months ago. Now, this is it. No elaborate steps at all. As soon as I hop out of the shower and slightly towel dry my hair, I apply a pea size amount of the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil-In-Cream*. When I use heat on my hair, I also add in the L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Heat Protect Cream*. Both of these products have resulted in my hair looking the healthiest it has been in years. Besides that, I can't believe how easy, accessible and affordable they are.

Last up is something that might seem quite random but I am entirely hooked. Welcome to my Bullet Journal. It's a lined diary from Kikki K which I have decked out to fit meee! If you don't know what Bullet Journaling is, have a quick Google or check on Pinterest. Essentially, you buy a diary and you customise it yourself. You know the feeling of when you buy a diary, love it for the first two months and then hate it? This gets rid of that! Instead of being told you have 3 lines to write about your Monday, you can honestly make it one page long or however long you want. It's so much fun and I just feel incredibly inspired and organised.

Come winter time, I'm not sure about you but my hair gets dry. My roots, not so much because I'm oily. But the rest of it is really crying out for moisture. Over the years I've used so many different products and I've finally found my favourites. This post covers quite a lot of products, but even if you introduced a couple of these into your routine, I'm sure your locks will thank you.



Tigi S-Factor Papaya Leave In Moisture Spray* has been a favourite of mine for quite a while. I've used it so many times and I don't think I've even made too much of a dint in this product. It smells delicious and when I use it my hair feels nice and moisturised. It looks shiny and feels smooth too. On a lazy day, sometimes I'll just use this product on its own and I feel like I'm good to go. It's probably not a miracle worker for the hair and only helps it on the surface though, so I usually go in with more products (when I'm not feeling lazy).

Muk Head Muk 20 in 1 Miracle Treatment* is clearly one of those all in one products. I know I use others along with it, but I'm just a bit of a product junkie This product does lots of stuff. so it's also another great lazy day hair product. The interesting thing about this treatment is that it's pretty light. If you're like me with oily hair and feel scared of using treatments because you're worried they'll make you more oily or weigh your hair down, definitely give this one a shot.

On those days where nothing seems to make my hair look or feel good I go in with a combination of the John Frieda Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum* and Garnier Fructis Full & Luscious Daily Leave in Serum*. Most of the times when I apply heat to my hair, I use the Frizz Ease Serum but I especially love comboing it with the Garnier one. These two products make my hair feel like I've just gone to a salon for a treatment.

The only in shower product that I'm mentioning in this post is the Wella Brilliance Treatment For Colored Hair*. This would have to be my favourite conditioner or in shower treatment of all time. I've had this tub for what seems like forever and it's still half full. It smells delicious and leaves my hair feeling incredibly smooth. I probably only need to leave it in for 10-15 seconds and it already makes a large impact. Once and a while when my hair really needs some TLC, I'll leave it on the entire duration of my shower. I love it so much that I actually transfer it into a mini tub so I can take it with me on holidays. Even though this is a winter post, I definitely use this all year long. It also says for coloured hair but you don't really have to have coloured hair to enjoy this product. It just means that this is safe for colour treated hair.

Last up is the GHD Advanced Split End Therapy*. Sorry for the not so great photograph but the packaging is very reflective. I love using this whenever I straighten my hair .I did an entire post on this product which you can read here, but essentially you apply it to damp hair, focusing on the ends and dry your hair. When you then straighten your hair, it supposedly locks in the formula which lasts up to 10 days. Not sure about all the claims, but it makes my hair feel and look really lovely.

Okay I know that was a lot to digest and to just add a little bit of perspective, I think I may have only used these products all together maybe once or twice. But, these are the products that I reach for when my hair is drier than normal during winter and needs a pick me up.

According to my absolutely overflowing empties drawer, I think it's time for another Time To Throw Dem Beauty Products Out post. There's quite a bit in this post, many products you've seen before and a couple new ones. 
For people who don't quite get the purpose of these posts, it's to show you my empties. Basically, products that I've finished because I loved or ones that I stopped using and need to part ways with. I'll let you know about my repurchasing situation with these goodies too.   

My three holy grails in one picture, pretty much! You've all probably seen these three products, way too much. But they're just that great. The Maxfactor Face Finity All Day Primer is a great primer to add a little bit of extra moisture. Even though I'm oily, this adds moisture, and not shininess.

The Covergirl TruBlend Foundation is my favourite foundation of all time. It's affordable (by Australian standards), provides me with a medium coverage and lasts on my oily skin all day.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer is the only under eye concealer I have used and probably ever will use. It covers everything and doesn't crease. Of course, I've already repurchased these products.

HAIRCARE 
First up, the Dove Hair Therapy Daily Moisture Shampoo* + Conditioner*. I really, really enjoyed using up this range. Luckily I didn't have coloured hair at the time though, because I think that this product isn't exactly colour safe. But, if you don't have any colour in your hair and you're looking for a great, accessible shampoo and conditioner range, I'd definitely recommend this one! It's probably one of my favourites ever and I'll definitely repurchase it once my colour is back to normal.

When it comes to the Natura Siberica Oblepikha Shampoo* + Conditioner*, I personally LOVED the shampoo but the conditioner didn't really do anything for me. This range smells like Pineapple and Passionfruit to me. The shampoo worked as a great clarifying shampoo for me which I used once a week. The conditioner on the other hand, it was too thin to be moisturising and to get that fully moisturised affect, I feel like i'd have to use half of the bottle.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Big & Bouncy XXL Volume is a really, really good dry shampoo. No idea why I picked this one up specifically. Maybe it was on sale, maybe it was from a goodie bag, I don't quite remember because it was a long, long time ago. But yes, this ones pretty good! Doesn't leave any white residue on my roots, gives me some great volume and helps my oil disappear.

SKINCARE
Innoxa Organic Gentle Cleansing Gel*was an absolute favourite of mine last year. It's probably the perfect face cleanser for my skin. It cleared my skin up and made my feel generally feel better. The packaging size is really small though so I've been using this product pretty sparingly. I will repurchase this 100%, but I'm going to wait for a Priceline Skincare sale because it isn't that affordable.

Biore Deep Pore Cleansing Gel is my favourite face cleanser for the shower. I've had quite a few bottles of this stuff and I have a new one in my shower right now.

Garnier Clean Sensitive 2-in-1 Gentle Make Up Remover is a MUST PURCHASE for all of you reading. This product is the best stubborn makeup remover you'll ever use. It's cheap and accessible. You need it, now.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is an amazing moisturiser for those of you with combo to oily skin. It's a great moisturiser that sinks in straight away. It's perfect under makeup because you can't tell its there.

THINGS THAT SMELL GREAT 
Victoria's Secret Secret Charm Body Mist is a product I've had for a really, really long time. I've been trying to use it up for what seems like forever. It's a nice scent, but I've smelt nicer, so I probably won't repurchase it.

Victoria's Secret Noir Tease Scented Body Wash smells AMAZING. I loved this body wash and I'll definitely be repurchasing it in a larger size if it's still available. It smells a lot like a Brittney Spears fragrance to me. Nice and sweet! It's probably strange that I like this because I usually like more natural, herby shower washes, but hey I love it.

YSL Parisienne Perfume was my favourite scent of last year. I used it up so quickly because it smelt so nice. It's a gorgeous sweet, warm and hearty winter scent, that I kind of stuck with all year long (oops). I'll definitely be repurchasing this one.

We all unfortunately have our own battle with split ends. What if I could tell you that Ghd has created a product that you can use, along side heat, to help prevent and help reduce those pesky ends? Well, keep on reading!  

Earlier this month, I posted my Ultimate Haircare Routine which you can read here. In that post, I mentioned that I barely use heat on my hair because I am a lover of air drying. I'm also a little bit scared of using too much heat in case I cause too much damage. Oh how things change in such a small amount of time! 
I received this product a couple weeks ago and ever since, I've been really into straightening my hair again. The Ghd Advanced Split End Therapy is one of those magical formula products to me. You don't exactly know how it all works, but you love it and trust it. To me, this product is like a little leave in moisturiser that I use on my ends, whenever I'm using heat. 
After lightly and delicately towel drying my hair, I go in with a heat protectant spray. I then squeeze a bit of the split end therapy in my hair and apply it to the tips of my hair. I still do my best to let my hair air dry on its own and I then go in with my straightener, focusing on the tips. 
By running the straightener over the ends, it's supposed to lock in or seal the therapy to give a long lasting benefit. I can't personally say that I have seen results for up to 10 days as claimed, but I can definitely tell you that I have received compliments about my hair. I've been told that it looks really healthy and radiant. I totally agree and my hair just feels soooo smooth. 
It probably isn't a product that can absolutely banish your split ends, but by the looks of it, I feel like this product can really help prevent and disguise them. If you're lazy like me and wait quite a few months for a haircut, this is probably a great product for you.

To begin this post, let me just say that I used to use heat tools on my hair every single day. The last couple of years, I can barely remember the times I've reached for a hair dryer or straightener. 
I probably stopped using heat because I knew it was damaging my hair, but in all honesty, the main reason was that I could no longer be bothered.
Here you have my super quick, ultimate haircare routine, without heat! 

For starters I'd also like to mention that these products are hair colour friendly, weehoo! Incase you missed it, here's a post of my latest hair transformation. 
IN THE SHOWER I like to keep it super simple in the shower. Shampoo and conditioner is all I really need for my hair. Occasionally, I'll reach for a mask, but that's not really in my routine so let's skip over that shall we?
I've been using this great range from Tigi called S Factor Diamond Dreams*. Both their Shampoo and Conditioner are amazing. The shampoo gives my hair a really good clean without stripping the hair while the conditioner gives my hair the needed moisture, without getting oily. That's a really difficult combination to find as my hair is like my face sadly very, very oily. This combo in itself is probably my favourite thing in this whole routine because when I feel lazy the next day, I can actually get away without washing my hair, which is usually impossible. I've tried many shampoos and conditioners this past year, thinking they were great, but now that I've got this range in my life, nothing compares. It also smells like yummy papaya (not straight up natural papaya, just sweet goodness really).
OUT OF THE SHOWER  So within this haircare routine, I have two separate out of the shower routines.
The first, I spray salt spray all over. I do not hold back with this stuff. My absolute favourite is the Charles Worthington Style Salt Spray*. I've tried a few salt sprays and one of them is the ever so popular Fudge Salt Spray. I did a comparison of the two products here. But basically, this ones awesome. The Charles Worthington one actually holds the texture. It doesn't have a funny smell and it also isn't sticky. I absolutely love just tying my hair up while scrunching it, letting it out and seeing these great curls and textures when I take my hair down. So that's pretty much all I do on some days out of the shower. Salt spray, and walk on out of the house.
The second routine involves a few products which give my hair a more polished look. As my hair is still wet, I first reach for the Muk Head Muk 20 in 1 Miracle Treatment*. For the longest time, I used natural oils but I found that some of them refused to sink in and would actually leave me in a oily mess. This miracle treatment, doesn't do that. I give it a shake, get one pump of this stuff and run it through my hair. It's definitely a multipurpose product. Not saying I can pick out each of the 20 benefits. However, my hair feels incredibly smooth, is nice and shiny but not oily, has no frizz and looks pretty voluminous.
Next, the Goldwell Dry and Wet Bodifying Spray*. Have you guessed that I like textured hair? This is a more polished sort of hair look, but wow I do not want to be looking flat! I used to think that you needed some fancy hair drying equipment or a curling wand to add some volume, but this is all I need. I spray it on my roots, give it a scrunch and that's it! 
Last up, another goodie from the Tigi S Factor Range*. This time, it's their Papaya Leave-In Moisture Spray. I know I'm oily and I know I already used my miracle treatment, but I do love moisture. One thing I can't stand is when my hair looks too dry after cleaning it. This just adds that extra bit of lusciousness to my hair and it makes my hair even more smooth.  I then brush my hair with my Tangle Teezer to disperse the products. I also part my hair and then that's about it. Totally simple right!?

Let's be real for a second. Finding a salon and making an appointment isn't the easiest of experiences.  Please tell me that I'm not the only one who gets a bit anxious trying to call a place up? Please also tell me that I'm not alone when I say I've been quoted one price and the real service has also ended up costing me my soul.  On the day of my 21st birthday party, I made a really really silly decision to get my hair 'ombred'. Long story shot, shocking job. Ever since, I've wanted to get my hair fixed but like I said, salon appointments aren't my cup of tea!  Luckily, I found out about Vaniday*.  If you're not sure what Vaniday is, it's pretty much an online booking service that you can use to book into salons. This includes everything from makeup, hair appointments, massages, facials etc.  There are a few websites or applications like Vaniday but I think that they do a couple things differently, which really sets them apart. 
#1 GPS Through the app which is available on iOS and Google PlayStore, you can turn on GPS, and it only brings up salons near you. So, you also don't have to trek halfway around the world to get to your appointment. 
#2 PRICES ARE DISPLAYED ON SITE  After you select the salon you're interested in, you can scroll through their services, down to the last dollar. This is something that is super rare, and definitely needed. One of my largest deterrents for booking services is getting quoted an incorrect price which becomes really awkward when I'm at the till trying to pay. 
#3 PREPAY YOUR BOOKING  On Vaniday, you can prepay! This to me is exactly what I need because once I get to a salon I don't want to think about the money that this experience is going to cost me. I want to have fun and be pampered. Who doesn't right!?  This way, I don't have to worry about all the little ad ons that they'll try and sell me. I'll just be strong, say no and hopefully walk out without extras.  Now to the happiest part of this blogpost, my personal experience!  Through Vaniday, I was booked into the Melbourne Franck Provost Paris Hair Salon last Wednesday. The salon itself is located in the ever so handy location of the Melbourne Emporium.  I had the lovely Marie working on my hair. I originally walked in wanting an ombre or balayge but I changed my mind and decided to go for a more natural route. My natural colour is up the top of my roots and I thought I'd try move closer towards it, but still have my ends slightly lighter.  Marie worked two colours together and ran it through all the pieces on my head that were previously bleached. I also received a really nice Kerastase hair treatment which felt super light weight, but did absolute magic.

It's not everyday that you hear people praising a shampoo and conditioner duo from the supermarket. You always hear of these speciality or hair salon brand products that are the 'bees knees', but honestly, who has all of that mulla to fork out all of the time? I think that price doesn't always speak quality and some of the best finds are actually really affordable and accessible. 
Today's post is all about the amazing new duo I've been using for the past few weeks - Dove Hair Therapy Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo* and Conditioner*.

Of course here comes a bit of background information about my hair! I have a pretty oily scalp and I have tried to do the whole - wash my hair every couple of days, but it doesn't work. I've also tried to force my hair out of its oily habits by not washing it every day, but honestly I look and feel so disgusting that it just isn't possible for me. In other words, I wash my hair everyday. 
Moving onto the products! Appearance wise, the formula for both the shampoo and conditioner are just plain white. No fancy colours going on here. The scent is a little bit masculine, fresh and has a teeny sweet twist, which I noticed a bit more with the conditioner. 
The shampoo lathers extremely well and a little amount definitely goes a long way. It leaves my hair feeling really clean but not to the point where it feels stripped. 
Usually when I use conditioners, I opt for a thicker formula or hair mask. This conditioner was interesting for me because it was a thinner consistency to that I'm used to. Instructions on the back suggested leaving it on for 1 to 3 minutes, so I left it on for the full three. When I washed it out, wow, it was actually incredibly smooth. The point of smooth where you'd think that I actually just used a really thick smoothing mask for 10 minutes. 
Hopping out of the shower and doing my usual hair routine, I reached for my tangle teezer and my hair had a few knots, but nothing intense. I then dried my hair and my hair was not sticky or oily in appearance at all. There was also barely any frizz. 
Where the biggest surprise of all with this product duo is that... wait for it. My boyfriend complemented me and said my hair looked extra shiny and healthy... Pardon!? I hadn't told him that I was trialling anything new and he noticed straight away. I think that's definitely made good use of the expression of 'the proof is in the pudding' - right!? 
So would I repurchase these guys!? I definitely would. They don't come with a heavy price tag, they're accessible and they work really well!

Hello friends! Another month has passed and I only just realised that I have never done a favourites post here before. So welcome to my monthly favourites, edition number one.   Recently I attended a Real Techniques event and was (so luckily) gifted the Bold Metals Set. I love all of the brushes and if you want to see the brushes that first tickled my fancy as well as close ups, you can read that post here. The particular brush that I have really been in love with the month of August is the Bold Metals Brush #300 Tapered Blush*. The thing is though that I haven't been using this brush for blush, but actually highlighter! I have never really had a good brush that gets the right amount of highlight on and just wisps it across the top of my cheeks - until now. It's amazing how much of a difference a good brush makes because I have tried some of my highlighters before and they barely showed up. Now, completely different story. 
Next up is the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer In Medium*. I particularly love this concealer on the days when I go to university because instead of opting for a liquid foundation, I use powder. I feel like this concealer is amazing at brightening my under eye area and isn't too dramatic for everyday use. It does not cling to my powder foundation and my under eye area is left feeling beautiful and smooth. What else can I ask for!?
When it comes to nail polishes, I find that I am definitely a creature of habit. One of my all time favourites that hasn't made a bit of an appearance in a while is Essie's Chinchilly. This month I was feeling inclined more towards neutrals, therefore this baby made quite a few appearances in August . Winter is the time my hair screams out for help and conditioner isn't sufficient enough to resuscitate my ends. Instead, I love opting for a hair mask or treatment. In August, the Goldwell Dualsenses Colour Extra Rich 60Sec Treatment* did not leave my shower, or my every washing-my-hair-day-routine. This stuff is now definitely a MUST for me. Aside from smelling so incredibly delicious, this treatment works so so so quickly and I feel like even 60 seconds is generous. If you have oily hair and you're scared of your head turning into an oily heap, please my friend do not be worried. Aside from also having oily skin, ya gurl Katina has oily hair too and this product does not add additional oil, just incredible moisture and life.

For years I have been in strong admiration of anyone rocking that gorgeous salt spray hair and have been trying to make it work for me. Unfortunately, it just wasn't happening. Years ago I purchased one of these products and I didn't enjoy it at all. The other product? Well, I've had it for about a week and I've used it nearly every time I washed my hair.

You can't really tell that anything is in my hair and it just looks slightly ruffled (if that). The right, well, wow okie I like this. There is definitely an immediate addition of texture and life to my hair. The left stayed flat the majority of the day (no surprises) but the Charles Worthington side actually remained voluminous! Definitely impressed. 
I also think its interesting because Charles Worthington seems more prestigious to me in comparison to Fudge but the pricing and sizing reflects other wise. The Charles Worthington Salt Spray is available for $15.99 from Priceline and is 200mL in comparison to the Fudge Salt Spray in 150mL for $19.95 from Hair House Warehouse. 
All in all, if you're after a salt spray, I would recommend the Charles Worthington one over Fudge anyday.

The Body Shop has always been one of my favourite brands when it comes to all things skincare, bodycare and haircare. Hearing about their new Spa of The World range made me super excited and what made me even more excited was the fact that my local The Body Shop contacted me with the offer of a small goodie hamper to try out; score! 
The Spa of The World range is going to be released in Australia on the 24th of September so I thought I would put these all to the test ASAP and let you know how they are. 

If you're a bit unsure about what this new range is intended to be, here is a quick little recap:

• This range is supposed to provide us with all of the feelings of luxury we feel when we visit a day spa - in the comfort of our own homes
• This range draws on some of the highest quality ingredients from the 'corners of the earth' - so there are lots of different ingredients that you may not have used before 
• All of the products are 'infused with the finest natural ingredients, refined textures and deliciate fragrances' 

The products that I was provided with to trial out are:

• Dead Sea Salt Scrub
• Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay
• Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil
• Japanese Camella Cream 

First impressions wise staring at the packaging you can definitely see that The Body Shop has upped their packaging game. The products look very luxurious and feel luxurious to touch. The plastic feels of a higher quality and the gold detail on the packaging also elaborates the high quality.
The Dead Sea Salt Scrub* is not like ordinary salt scrubs, or ones that I've tried before anyway. This particular salt scrub is thick and almost creamy. What I find with most salt scrubs is that the formula is too fine and dry so when I try to rub it in circular motions (dry of course) it is quite scratchy. This formula feels actually quite moisturising and the size of the salt is on the larger size so it doesn't melt away as soon as you apply it because of your body heat. It is a little messy so I would definitely recommend using this product in your shower and maybe you can do a bit of shower cleaning while you wait 10 minutes for it to dry (which is exactly what I did today). I like using this scrub in areas that are fairly dry or have some of those incredibly unwanted stretchmarks.
Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay* is incredibly smooth and cooling. This body clay is intended to help firm up areas that have sadly sagged or are not as firm as we would hope them to be.Therefore, I apply this to areas such as my bottom. When I picked up my hamper the lovely Bec from The Body Shop Chadstone explained to me that this product should be applied in a large enough consistency so that you cannot see the skin underneath, but not too thick that the formula struggles to dry. I let this baby stay on the skin for about 10 minutes as well and wash off in the shower in circular motions. I feel like its difficult to say whether or not this product has helped with firming or will help in the future, but I will definitely keep you all posted on whether I notice a difference.
Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil* instantly gave me a flashback as soon as I opened it. If you have ever visited any of the Polynesian islands, wow oh wow this will bring back memories! It smells exactly like my trips to Fiji and this product probably excited me the most. This oil is thick and luxurious. A little definitely goes a long way. You can apply this oil to pretty much everywhere! Last but not least is the Japanese Camella Cream*. Like all of these products, this cream smells heavenly. It smells subtly floral and fresh. This cream is of a normal consistency, so if you are someone that doesn't like a sticky cream, this one is definitely for you. It goes on relatively thin but is definitely moisturising and you can apply as much as your heart desires.

If there was one little thing to pick on it would be that the Body Clay comes in squeeze packaging vs a tub. Once I tried using the Body Clay and went in for more, my hands were already covered and trying to squeeze out more product was a little messy.

Overall, I think these are beautiful products. This is just a small taste of the overall Spa of The World Product range and when the range is released I think you should definitely pop in store. This range will be fairly expensive compared to other The Body Shop products but of course when you go in store you can smell and experience all of these products for yourself.

A few years ago I purchased one of the original Tangle Teezers. My dad thought I was strange and he was wondering why I paid so much for a brush that looks like it was made to brush dogs.. Yep I can feel your eye-roll. Don't worry, it was the exact same eye-roll that I gave him. That purchase was one of the best purchases I ever made. Since using the original Tangle Teezer my hair has become much healthier. It breaks less, sheds less and I feel like I am actually not ripping my hair out for once.
I was contacted to trial out the relatively new Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Hairbrush* and because of my past Tangle Teezer success, I couldn't say no.




The Blow-Styling Hairbrush I was sent is for short to medium hair. Quick claims:

• This brush is intended to create a "salon professional finish"
• The bristles are quick drying 
• Removing hair from the brush is easy and doesn't damage the teeth due to 'unique cleaning grooves' 
• You will experience no dragging

As you can see from the above photos, the bristles on this brush are quite different. When I used this brush on wet hair straight after my shower, I was so happily greeted by the usually Tangle Teezer style, no dragging. I brushed it through the ends first to remove some knots and after they were removed, I moved up to the top of my scalp. Even as a normal brush without heat, this is definitely one to remove knots gently. Some of you who have perhaps tried the regular Tangle Teezer and found it difficult to handle because of its shape might be interested in this product for brushing alone.

Now moving onto the 'blow-styling' elements of this brush. To be honest I am not the most creative of people when it comes to my hair. When I leave my hair without taming it, it is predominantly straight with a little bit of waviness towards my ends. Using this brush, I shaped the front section of my hair inwards to my face to emphasise my bob which has now become a lob. It does a solid job and I find that I get a similar effect once I run my hair straightener through once. Having said that, I'll probably opt for this brush instead because my hair dryer is definitely less intense than the heat coming from my ghd. 

The bristles are definitely quick drying and I feel like the brush actually caught little water at all. That makes me really happy because after I finish drying my hair I don't have to worry if I want to brush my hair again with the same brush out of the fear of spurting it with more water! 

I've been using this brush for around a week now and the hair build up in the brush isn't significant by any means.

To sum up my experience, I think that I'm still going to use the original Tangle Teezer to remove all of my knots. However, I'll be reaching for this brush on days where I want to style my hair but without using my straightener.

I'm usually a no fuss type of person when it comes to my hair, but occasionally I like to change things up. One of the biggest decisions is then, okay where on earth do I go!? Luckily, I stumbled across  Edwards & Co on instagram and instantly thought yes please. I had an appointment today at 12pm with Melvin & I am so ecstatic about the results. But before I get into the juicy hair pictures, I just wanted to talk about Edwards & Co in general.
