Come winter time, I'm not sure about you but my hair gets dry. My roots, not so much because I'm oily. But the rest of it is really crying out for moisture. Over the years I've used so many different products and I've finally found my favourites. This post covers quite a lot of products, but even if you introduced a couple of these into your routine, I'm sure your locks will thank you.
Tigi S-Factor Papaya Leave In Moisture Spray* has been a favourite of mine for quite a while. I've used it so many times and I don't think I've even made too much of a dint in this product. It smells delicious and when I use it my hair feels nice and moisturised. It looks shiny and feels smooth too. On a lazy day, sometimes I'll just use this product on its own and I feel like I'm good to go. It's probably not a miracle worker for the hair and only helps it on the surface though, so I usually go in with more products (when I'm not feeling lazy).
Muk Head Muk 20 in 1 Miracle Treatment* is clearly one of those all in one products. I know I use others along with it, but I'm just a bit of a product junkie This product does lots of stuff. so it's also another great lazy day hair product. The interesting thing about this treatment is that it's pretty light. If you're like me with oily hair and feel scared of using treatments because you're worried they'll make you more oily or weigh your hair down, definitely give this one a shot.
On those days where nothing seems to make my hair look or feel good I go in with a combination of the John Frieda Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum* and Garnier Fructis Full & Luscious Daily Leave in Serum*. Most of the times when I apply heat to my hair, I use the Frizz Ease Serum but I especially love comboing it with the Garnier one. These two products make my hair feel like I've just gone to a salon for a treatment.
The only in shower product that I'm mentioning in this post is the Wella Brilliance Treatment For Colored Hair*. This would have to be my favourite conditioner or in shower treatment of all time. I've had this tub for what seems like forever and it's still half full. It smells delicious and leaves my hair feeling incredibly smooth. I probably only need to leave it in for 10-15 seconds and it already makes a large impact. Once and a while when my hair really needs some TLC, I'll leave it on the entire duration of my shower. I love it so much that I actually transfer it into a mini tub so I can take it with me on holidays. Even though this is a winter post, I definitely use this all year long. It also says for coloured hair but you don't really have to have coloured hair to enjoy this product. It just means that this is safe for colour treated hair.
Last up is the GHD Advanced Split End Therapy*. Sorry for the not so great photograph but the packaging is very reflective. I love using this whenever I straighten my hair .I did an entire post on this product which you can read here, but essentially you apply it to damp hair, focusing on the ends and dry your hair. When you then straighten your hair, it supposedly locks in the formula which lasts up to 10 days. Not sure about all the claims, but it makes my hair feel and look really lovely.
Okay I know that was a lot to digest and to just add a little bit of perspective, I think I may have only used these products all together maybe once or twice. But, these are the products that I reach for when my hair is drier than normal during winter and needs a pick me up.

Left to right - Essie: Island Hopping | Flowerista | Sole Mate
Left to right: Sally Hansen Dig Fig | Maybelline Violet Vogue | Revlon Moonlight Woods
Essie Island Hopping is a colour that I have been on the hunt for way too long. I've been looking for a pastel maroon shade for what seems like forever and I'm so happy that I found one by Essie. The formula of Essie nail polishes is definitely my favourite which I guess is no surprise as half of the nail polishes in this post are Essie, right? Island Hopping only needs two coats to be fully pigmented and stunning.
Essie Flowerista* is described as a plummy purple. I feel like it's a pretty unique version of purple and purple is my favourite colour, so I'm definitely a sucker for this shade. When it's warmer, I prefer more pastel purples but when its cooler, I like a more pigmented pick me up sort of purple, and this is it.
Essie Sole Mate* is probably the only kinda typical winter shade here. It is my favourite deep red wine nail colour. I own quite a few deep reds but this one just seems super classy to me. The only thing that I don't like about this shade is that it can get a little messy when you remove it because the colour is so rich.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Dig Fig* is on the darker side of red, but still bright, rich and pigmented. The formula lasts such a long time. I personally love this shade because most of the jumpers and cardigans that I wear are fairly neutral in colour. When I get in the jumper mood, I feel like this nail polish adds that nice subtle touch to my outfit.
Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Violet Vogue* is more blue than violet to me, but hey just a shade name! This is a gorgeous rich blue shade that I can't stop reaching for. I definitely think Maybelline nail polishes are underrated and their lasting power is actually pretty incredible. Especially when you pair their polishes with their Dr Rescue Top & Base Coat. Try it out and thank me later.
Last up, Revlon Parfumerie Moonlit Woods. I went absolutely crazy for this nail polish when it came out. The nail polishes actually smell like a legitimate perfume. Say goodbye to stinky fumes! This colour is a gorgeous light blue with a silver sheen to it. It's one of those polishes that look different under various types of light and I usually get a few sneaky compliments when I wear it.

Today's post is something that I'm really excited about because I feel like I am definitely sharing a hidden gem with you. One of the most iconic makeup brands of all time, Avon, has released a brand new, luxurious makeup range that you probably haven't of heard of before.
I can 100% say that I never thought I would see myself using Avon products, let alone sharing them here on my blog with you. I thought that it was for women that were older than me and I kind of just blew it off without thinking about it. But then a couple weeks ago I received an email about their new Luxe Range. I saw some gorgeous pictures of the packaging and I thought, why not?
I am so, so, so happy that I said yes to trialling out this range because they've created a few great products.
The 'gold bar' packaging for the Eyeshadows and Blushes in this range is absolutely stunning. However, if you are large collector of makeup with limited space, they are a little bulky and awkward for storage. But I mean, how gorgeous!?
Pigmentation wise, I think the Blush and Eyeshadows are pretty good for their price range. For example, the eyeshadows are priced at $18.95 while a Maybelline Nudes Palette will set you back $25.95. I definitely think that the Avon eyeshadows are smoother than the nudes palette and they're also more pigmented. Out of the two eyeshadow palettes I have, my favourite would be Cocoa Couture.
This range has really taught me to not be so stuck in my thoughts about a makeup brand. There's always great products in every brand and just because I thought it was for another demographic, that shouldn't have stopped me. It also makes me think of other brands I might have just said no to, that I should probably go back and consider.
You can purchase these products from the Avon Website or through any Avon consultants you might know. The prices for this collection range between $14.95 to $22.95
Have you ever used any Avon products before?

Starting out with the Luxe Silken Foundation, #yas because there is a pump! Sadly as you can see the lid packaging for one of my foundations broke during transport, but everything else about the foundations and rest of the range is still intact.
I received three shades and the one most suited to me at the moment is Medium.
The formula feels quite cold upon application and is pumped out in a medium consistency. When applying it, I did notice quite a strong, yet pleasant perfume smell. However, if you don't like perfume scented products, you might give this one a skip. The foundation becomes quite silky to the touch. Coverage is medium and the finish is super close to matte, but not quite 100%. Once set with a powder, I actually don't have any problems with the foundation transferring, so if you're after a non-transferable foundation, I think you'd really like this.
Longevity wise, I get a decent amount of wear. Probably 5 hours like the above photo, and then I need to touch up with a little bit of powder, but I am extremely oily so keep that in mind.
Both the Luxe Couture Lipsticks and Luxe Couture Creme Lip Glosses are extremely pigmented and smooth. I particularly appreciate the applicator of the lip glosses because its the perfect size for easy application. The Lip Gloss is a little sticky, but it's nothing too offensive because I'm completely used to lip glosses having a bit of the sticky factor.
Luckily all of the lipstick shades are ones I usually gravitate to. However, because I am a sucker for neutrals, my favourite is Nude Slip.

Becca Champagne Pop has been a favourite of mine for quite a few months now so when I heard that Becca and Jaclyn Hill were releasing an entire collection, I may have let of a squeal. To then find this magical package in my hands in a few days time, well, I was pretty speechless.
As expected, the range sold out very, very quickly. There is a bit of mystery behind when this range will be Available online for us Australian's. I've heard July 7, but that's nothing substantial so I guess we'll have to wait to hear more. But for American's, the restock is going to be June 16th both online and instore.
Of course I can't just receive such a pretty package and not take photos or review it for you! Do you need this collection in your life? I honestly think so.
Left to right: Luminous Blush in Rose Spritz, Mineral Blush in Amaretto,
Mineral Blush in Pamplemousse,
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop
Before we get overwhelmed by all of the pretty, the three champagne pop formulas are permanent. However the Champagne Collection Face Palette is limited edition and sadly, the Eye Palette has been deleted from the range (read to the end to find out why).
The Champagne Collection Face Palette* contains three blushes and two shimmering skin perfectors. Rosé Spritz is a gorgeous luminous blush and is my favourite of the three. If you are all about that glow and want a lovely glowy blush, this is your version of heaven in a pan. Amaretto and Pamplemousse are mineral blushes which come off fairly matte looking in the swatches but they do actually also have a slight shimmer to them, however they're obviously more subtle in their glowy nature compared to Rosé Spritz.
When it comes to the two Shimmering Skin Perfectors, you get Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop. To describe the difference between Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop, I'd say that Champagne Pop is more of a rose gold shade whilst Prosecco Pop is more true gold.
Here we have come to the three formulas for Champagne Pop in Pressed, Poured (Creme) and Liquid. If you've read my Becca Opal post here, you'd already get the gist of the difference between the three formulas. Essentially pressed is the most pigmented version. Poured is the most matte version and liquid is the most sheer. Liquid is best used under or mixed in with foundation for an all over glow. Poured and pressed can be used in the same manner, just placed wherever you want extra glow over the top of your foundation.
Champagne Pop Pressed is a go to highlighter of mine that I just sweep on the top of my cheek bones. Interestingly enough, I've actually been really enjoying Champagne Pop Poured as a cream eyeshadow. I use it on top of a primer and set it with the Pressed version. My eyes sing. However, I haven't really experimented too much with the Champagne Pop in the Liquid formula yet.
Left to right: Chardonnay, Champagne Toast, Cordial, Cognac, Bordeaux
Now to address the sad elephant in the room. The Champagne Collection Eye Palette* is being discontinued and deleted from the collection. When I found out, my heart broke a little bit because I love this product.
Jaclyn herself came on Snapchat addressing the issue. In summary, the Eye Palette was made in China at a laboratory that Becca usually doesn't use and sadly the formula of the Eye Palettes is inconsistent. Some people received amazing palettes, and others were really chalky. They decided to eliminate the problem all together, and discontinue the product. No word about whether the palette will be reformulated at another factory or not, but my fingers are crossed because I'd love to get a backup.
I think that I was probably one of the lucky people that received a good palette. The Champagne Collection Eye Palette is my first eye product from Becca and I am actually really impressed. Hearing that this formula isn't as good as the regular Becca shadows makes me wonder how good is the proper one!? I personally think this is one of the nicest palettes I've used. It's an all in one palette because the colours are versatile and I think the pigmentation is lovely. If I had to be picky, I would say that the two shimmery shades of Chardonnay and Champagne Toast are slightly less smooth and pigmented than the mattes, but I'm still happy with them. I've been hooked to it ever since it came in the mail. So yes, I am sad that it is gone.
The way that I like to use this palette is by using either Chardonnay or Champagne Toast all over the lid or in my inner corner. Cordial is the shade I would pop into my crease as a transition colour. Both Cognac and Bordeaux are really nice defining shadows for me so they'd go in the outer corner or in my crease to deepen up the eye look.
I've seen quite a few people who are now unsure what to do. If you have one coming in the mail or sitting at home unused, if I were you I'd still try it out. You might be lucky and could have purchased one of the better quality palettes. You have nothing to lose. Either way you can get your money back.
This is a little bitter sweet, but I guess if Becca and Jaclyn didn't feel right about the palette, I'm happy they're not going to continue selling it. I also kind of wish that they just pushed back the release date of the collection. That way maybe the palettes could have been manufactured where they usually are, but hey I guess these things happen from time to time.
Will you be picking up any of the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection?
What are your thoughts on the deletion of the Eye Palette?

Is it just me or are there so many beautiful collections out at the moment!? Say hello to the new L'oreal Collection Exclusive La Vie En Rose Collection. Today, I'm going to share with you five of the beautiful lipsticks from this range and five cute lipsticks that also came in the package, which work really well as pairings.
I'm sure we all know by now that the L'Oreal lipstick formula is incredible. This range especially, glides on effortlessly and provides the lips with a lovely flush of colour. You barely need any pressure at all when applying these lipsticks. I'd say that they are somewhere in between sheer and medium coverage, but definitely buildable.
The idea behind the range is that there is a pink for everyone. Basically, they hope that no matter your skin tone, there will be one shade that suits you. I think this is pretty accurate as all of these colours look really nice on my skin and I am not usually the biggest fan of pinks unless they're brown or mauve. My favourite is the third shade in the swatches which is Eva's Delicate Rose.
Although not a part of the actual Collection Exclusive La Vie En Rose, I also received five beautiful Color Riche Nail Polish shades. I thought I'd share them with you too because they're quite cute themselves.
For size perspective, the polish section of the product is probably the same size as half of the length of my pinky, so pretty small. But I think this is perfect especially if you're someone who likes to travel and doesn't want to carry a huge nail polish with you.
I'm not sure about you, but one of my pet peeves with nail polishes is the brush. It can be a total deal marker or breaker. The Color Riche nail polishes have a lovely wide fan brush, so for me this is already a thumbs up. When it comes to the formula, the more pigmented colours I'd say two coats is more than enough. With the lighter shades, you can get really good pigmentation from two coats. but I would probably go for 3 for that 100% pigmentation. So far I am really loving 208 So Chic Pink.
The collection is available now in selected supermarkets, pharmacies and variety stores. In terms of pricing, the RRP for a lipstick is $21.95 and nail polishes are $7.95
