Sometimes you just come across some gorgeous makeup packaging or pretty makeup products that make you go wow. Today's post is packed full with some of my favourite wow makeup items.
Originally totally not a fan of Benefit They're Real Mascara, I'm happy to say that it's finally growing on me! I'm definitely with the majority of users out there who say that it just needs to dry up a bit so the formula isn't as wet. I've now got quite the collection of these mascaras and last week the limited edition Benefit They're Real Mascara with Swarovski* crystals popped its way into my PO Box. I couldn't stop looking at it. The packaging is matte with the gorgeous crystals on the lid and I can't stop looking at it. What a fantastic collaboration.
Next up is the stunning YSL Couture Variation Eyeshadow Palette* which I've done a full in depth review + swatches that you can find here. This palette is so aesthetically pleasing on both the outside and inside. The shadows themselves are also incredibly pigmented and gorgeous. Definitely a high end product that I would suggest adding to your collection!
Of course I've included the Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Something About Berry. I think that this was the first 'really pretty' item in my collection. The packaging is stunningly girly and playful. All three blush colours are gorgeous on their own and mixed together also. If you are a fan of pigmented blushes, this ones for you - plus it's just so cute!
This product has received lots of buzz lately in the makeup world for all of the right reasons. I totally agree with all the praise. Laura Mercier's Face Illuminator in Indiscretion* is so incredibly beautiful. Honestly, how much detail has gone into the appearance of this illuminator in the pan!? So many brands invest a heck load of money in external packaging and forget the actual product itself - definitely not the case here! This is one of my absolute favourites for highlighting. I'm curious to see what happens to its lovely in pan appearance once I keep using it.
Last but not least of course are the lipsticks that most of us run to buy when we start our makeup collections. YSL Rouge Volupte's are by far the nicest lipstick formula I've ever used. They glide on the lips literally effortlessly. If anyone says a lipstick applies smoothly, I always think, well is it rouge volupte smooth!? The packaging is glamourous to the tee. I mean what isn't beautiful about gold!?

To be completely honest with you, most of the time I just go for a my lips but better lipstick. But, when I do feel like aligning my lipstick with a season, in particular winter, these are the babies that I reach for.
Swatches Left to Right: Too Faced - Sweet Maple | Shanghai Suzy - Miss Nicole Burgundy Brown | Laura Mercier - Merlot| Rimmel - 120 Cutting Edge | MAC - Pure Heroine
Too Faced Sweet Maple is definitely the most my lips but better of the bunch and therefore probably the one that I would reach for mostly on a day to day basis. This is the only Too Faced lipstick that I own but I tell you what, I definitely want more. It is so incredibly smooth, lasts quite a while and fades quite gracefully throughout the day.
Shanghai Suzy Miss Nicole in Burgundy Brown* is probably the most different shade out of all of these, or for me anyway. Probably because I don't usually reach for matte lipsticks because my lips are quite cracky and dry during the cooler seasons. But I do go for this one when I want to mix things up a little bit and get out of my comfort zone.
Laura Mercier Merlot* is one of the newest additions to this much. If you haven't tried the Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colours, you need to. I think that this range are probably the most buttery, silky smooth lipsticks that I own. This colour is soooo lovely and I love reaching for it during the night time instead of a traditional red.
Rimmel 120 Cutting Edge is one of the first lipsticks I ever bought. I can't remember which YouTuber it was, but someone suggested it and I was like YAS I WANT THAT. This was my most 'grungey' colour of the time but now looking at it, I don't really think it is. But, I do love these deep berry colours and I definitely rock this during autumn too, but real talk doe, most of the year.
Lastly, we have my baby MAC Cosmetics Pure Heroine. This was a limited collection with Lorde and I loved it so much, I've got a backup. It is such a crazy, stunning, beautiful purple. The formula however is Amplified and it doesn't go on too evenly so it isn't the type of lipstick you really want to reapply on the go because it takes a bit to get the application right. I know that this is limited edition and can't be purchased anymore, but hey this is a post of my Winter Lipstick Loves and I couldn't put up a post without one of my fave lipsticks of all time.

I recently finished a six week internship at a marketing firm. I found myself reaching for almost the same few lipsticks everyday and I thought that I would share them with you.
All of these lipsticks are not too bold and very easily to reapply. I didn't do close up lip swatches because I had a major pimple near my lips and I didn't want to scare you all - you're welcome <3
MAC - Cosmo.
For some reason I feel as if I've never had a lipstick post here on my blog without mentioning this product. I guess by now you could say it's my number #1 favourite for practically every occasion. It's just my 100% my lips but better colour and it will be forever repurchased.
Youngblood Cosmetics - Sorbet*
To be completely honest, many products that are sent to me sit in a drawer after using them once or twice because I simply forget about them. This colour is not one of those times. This lipstick is soooooo gorgeous and since receiving it I've worn it the majority of the time. It is a gorgeous pinky-brown colour, with a silver sheen. It makes my lips look slightly more voluminous and also provides a little bit of moisture without being too sticky. Love it. Too Faced - Sweet Maple.
This is the deepest and most brown of these three lipsticks. I love how the formula is very smooth. I've only had this lipstick for a couple months but I've been reaching for it a lot! Highly suggest these Too Faced lipsticks! I picked this one up in Sephora (Singapore).
