This year, one of my goals is to actually complete a monthly favourites, every month. Not just because its another post idea (woohoo), but because I want to challenge myself to try new products more.
The problem with me is that when I get something new, I can take forever and a day before I actually give it a shot. Or sometimes, it's the complete opposite. I get something new and shiny, and I stop using a fave instantly - forgetting to pick it up for another few solid months. Horrah for rediscoveries though right?
Here are my favourites for the month of January.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey was a favourite of mine, even way back in 2013. Something about this shade just works really well with my skin colour. The product is super easy to apply and it's a really good size to chuck in your handbag because it's easy to find too. As you can see from the gross shape the product is now in, I use this a lot.
Becca Cosmetics Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation* has definitely been my go to for January. I'm in the shade medium and this foundation is incredible - even though I am oily! I have a full review of the entire range, along with swatches, and a before and after photo, which you can see here.
Victoria's Secret Angel Fragrance* is only new to my perfume collection, but gosh I am in love! It's lovely and sweet with 'sparking plum, sheer violet and amber' fragrance notes. Essentially, it's sweet, floral and feels warmy, yet a little bit fresh at the same time.
Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturiser*has been my saving grace this month. It's summer here in Australia and I've got a pool, so my skin has been super, super dry. The reason why I love this moisturiser so much, is that it goes on thick and sinks in instantly. But, you can still tell that the moisturiser is there and is doing it's magic - just no stickiness!
Jurlique Rose Hand Cream*is an unexpected favourite of mine. I usually don't like rose scents because they can be pretty artificial. This hand cream however literally smells like fresh roses. The cream itself is super moisturising, yet not sticky as well. I keep this by my bedside and apply it just before I fall asleep, giving my hands a little TLC massage.
Lastly, Natura Siberica Oblepikha Maximum Volume Shampoo*. This stuff smells exactly like passionfruit and pineapple to me. I received this product what seems like forever ago, used it and somehow forgot about it. During summer, my hair gets build up from dry shampoo laziness, sea water etc. This shampoo cleanses my hair so nicely, but doesn't leave it dry or squeaky. Just seems like the ultimate shampoo really. Did I mention that it smells like passionfruit and pineapple!?!?
What were some of your January favourites?
