Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation - Review and Before and After Photos
Wednesday, August 12, 2015
We all know that good makeup, starts with a good base. Being oily skinned, this is definitely a challenge. Many years ago I tried the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and it really didn't work for my skin type. I found it to feel quite heavy on my skin and it slipped around. Sadly, it did not last on my skin. When I found a few of the new Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundations* in a goodie box from Maybelline, I wanted to put them to trial and let you all know how it went.
Packaging wise, the foundation looks super similar to the original Fit Me Foundation although with hints of green. Sadly, this is a no pump foundation. If anyone knows a pump that fits perfectly, please let me know so I can try it out.
When it comes to application, of course I reach for my beautyblender. Unlike the original Fit Me Foundation, this felt very light weight on my skin. The coverage as you can see from the below photo is medium. It covers up the majority of my cystic acne and redness, however you can definitely still see it there. This might not be everyone's cup of tea, but my acne is something I accept and if I can even slightly mask it, I'm happy.
The particular colour I used is number 220 Natural Beige. As you can see from the above photo, it is an absolute perfect match! Look at dat neckline vs face - no difference. The foundation feels smooth to touch and not sticky. I also find that it doesn't transfer easily or move about when I apply product on top. It is matte, however it isn't drying. Although I am oily skinned, I think that this would work very well on a normal skin type. Even if you had dry skin, with a good moisturiser it's definitely do able. Maybe just not if you have quite a few dry patches (thank you winter). In terms of 'poreless', my pores are still there of course, but they are significantly reduced.
In regards to longevity, I haven't tried this foundation for a solid crazy amount of hours. I have however put it to good use for a couple 5 to 8 hour days and I am very impressed. My skin actually decided to let this foundation stay on my face and relatively gracefully. I did have some oiliness on and around my nose, but compared to most foundations that I've tried, this one is definitely up there.

Great review Katina, you look beautiful in the photos! It sounds like a great foundation and I'd definitely be keen to pick it up, my skin is combination and I think it could work well for me. And seriously, why no pump Maybelline?! Come on! Lol.
