Summer time to me speaks pastels. There's just something about them that is so appealing to me and today I wanted to share with you all, my pastel favourites!
Maybelline Love Lilac | Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 450 Get Mod | Essie Spaghetti Strap | Essie Bikini So Teeny | Essie Blossom Dandy
Maybelline Love Lilac* is the ultimate pastel purple. It almost seems as if it used to be a super light grey and they just added some beautiful purple pigment. I love this colour, especially on my toes.
By far, the colour I reach for the most during summer is a pastel green. I bounce between many, but this year I've found myself reaching for Essie Blossom Dandy*. Essie nail polishes are incredible with their pigmentation, only usually needing two coats to be opaque. Their brush is also amazing and wide, so its definitely great to use when you're in a rush.
Another Essie colour that I'm an absolute sucker for is of course, Essie Bikini So Teeny. It's very easy to see why this is a cult favourite of so many people. It's a gorgeous blue, not as pastel as the others and also has a slight shimmer.
The last Essie nail polish of the bunch is Spaghetti Strap*. Although new to my collection, it has already had a fair bit of wear. Spaghetti Strap is a gorgeous combination of pink, orange and nude. It's super complimenting to my olive skin tone and I think it would be lovely on everyone! I find that the more tanned I become, the nicer this looks.
Sally Hansen Get Mod* isn't really a pastel, because it's white, but I just had to include it. Great white nail polish is definitely hard to find. Since having this one, it's practically the only one I use. A couple coats and you're set. This formula also has the longest longevity of the bunch, so if you're after something that'll last, this should be your go to!
What nail polishes do you adore during the summer time?

Every summer, our priorities change direction. We need extra suncare, extra smooth legs and were lovers of freshness. These are my absolute summer essentials.
I'm not sure about you, but one thing that is a definite must have during summer is smooth legs. I surely don't want to be rocking extra prickleys! I feel like when it comes to Razors, we can be quite picky. I've been trialling out quite a few shavers for my legs and I think I've found my favourite. Gillette Venus Swirl* is not like your normal razor. Do you see that interesting silver ball-bubble-contraption-thing!? Basically what that does, is allows the razor to move in pretty much every direction. It picks up literally every hair. I'm usually prone to getting little razor cuts around my ankles or knees, but when I use this razor, that doesn't happy and I'm left all smooth!
We're always running around making plans in the summer thanks to some great time off, so of course, we want to be on time. This year I got two Daniel Wellington Watches and my current favourite is their Large Silver Classy St Mawes*. If you use 'KATINA' at the checkout, you'll receive 15% off until the 15th of Jan. It isn't a commission code or anything, just a sweet saving for you. I know that there's heaps of leather watches out there at the moment and plenty of copycat, lookalikes, but having tried quite a few watches, I can definitely say that DW's are the best quality. The leather is really sturdy and strong, plus they're also waterproof so you can rock your watch pretty much all summer long.
My absolute favourite body wash of all time is definitely Lush's The Olive Branch*. I used this body wash non-stop the beginning of this year and it sadly ran out. I was way too lazy to pick it up until recently and again, I can't stop reaching for it. It's mostly refreshing with a slight sweetness about it and a little bit goes a long way. I highly, highly, highllyyyyy recommend it.
Last but not least, Jurlique's Sun Specialist SPF 40 High Protection Cream*. It's true that many of our makeup products now contain SPF. But honestly, that is no where near enough for the strong UV rays we get here in Australia (and I'm sure the rest of the world too). Straight out of the shower, after moisturiser, I apply some of this protection cream all over my face. It leaves no white cast and sinks in after a couple minutes. I then apply my makeup normally. I've had no troubles with this being oily, and we all know that I'm the definition of oily.. So if you are oily, and you're scared of a sunscreen ruining your makeup, this product will definitely bypass that problem! This sunscreen is also great for the body too.

As we have officially just moved into summer here in Australia, I thought that I would let you all know about my favourite summer scents. By no means do these fragrances have to be worn only during during summer or when its warm, but these are the ones I find myself gravitating towards!
All perfumes will be linked directly to either Priceline or Chemist Warehouse. If you're taking a peak of this post between Wednesday the 2nd of December and Thursday the 3rd of December, Priceline currently has a 30-60% off Fragrance sale.
When reading this post, definitely keep in mind that I am no perfume, fragrance, connoisseur!
Marc Jacobs Honeyhas been a favourite of mine for quite a while. This scent is very light and fresh. It isn't the type of fragrance that lingers the entire day, but you can get a solid 4 hours out of it. It smells like honey (clearly), but I also feel like I smell some honeydew, pear or watermelon too. It's a great fruity, sweet scent and if you love people guessing what your perfume is, this is for you.
YSL Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne Eau De Parfumsmells like a whole bunch of incredible flowers, mixed in with cranberry. It's a scent that stays with you all day and I would say that it is semi-sweet.
Britney Spears Fantasy Intimate Edition Eau de Parfum* is definitely the most sweet of the bunch. Britney Spears fragrances are typically known for that, and that is totally fine with me. This one is probably my favourite Britney Spears fragrance that I've tried. To me, it smells warm and comforting. It starts of fruity and then becomes more sweet. I can pick up things like vanilla and jasmine. Definitely stays on all day.
Katy Perry Spring Reign Eau De Parfum* has probably been my go to scent for all of this year. I haven't been able to stop wearing it honestly. The epitome of fresh and sweet, you can pick up hints of cedar wood and rose. If you were to take one perfume away from the post, go take a whiff of this one.
Calvin Klein Ck In2Uis a fragrance that I've owned for many years. It's definitely a cheapy, but a goody. Fresh and a little spicy, I definitely pick up lots of different citrus fruits and one ingredient that I think is really interesting to mention is cactus. I know hey? Whenever I feel the summer heat, is super strong, I reach for this because its the most refreshing of the all fragrances.

Katina is a recent marketing graduate from Melbourne who is equally in love with makeup and cheese. She is always thinking about future travels and she also believes that she knows how to take good photos - but we'll let you be the judge of that!
