I have a confession to make, I own too many makeup brushes. Out of all of the brushes that I own, Sigma's are right up there.
In today's post i'll be sharing with you my Top 5 Sigma Brushes of All Time.

Sigma All Over Blend Brush E37 is usually the brush that I first start off with on my eyes. Sometimes you might need one brush to initially place the colour in the crease and then another to start the blending process. I find that this brush does both. It's really good for precisely placing the shadow where I want it, and not too harshly at the same time. The E37 was actually a part of my February favourites. To begin making my crease shadows look softer, I use the Sigma Tapered Blending Brush E35. The hairs of the E35 are slightly denser than my E40 which helps with blending precision. Sometimes I have the problem of using too fluffy of a brush and I end up blending everything, when all I wanted to blend was the crease. Am I the only one with this problem!? Anyway, this brush solves that. It begins blending and softening exactly what I want.
The brush that really pulls the whole eye look together for me is the Sigma Tapered Blending E40 Brush. After I've used the E37 and E37 for precision, this is the one that gives me that lovely feathering and beautiful meshing of all the colours I've used on my eyes. Sometimes when I want a more natural look, I'll skip the E37 and E35 all together and just use my E40. I actually own two of these because I just love them so much. I usually place a light brown crease colour on one and then use the other clean.
The Sigma Small Contour F05 Brush is the perfect density and size to define my contour. It's more natural than those type of brushes that follow the shape of a NARS Ita, Having said that, this brush definitely can build up a strong contour too. To me, this is a great safe brush because you can start off small and work your way up. This helps me avoid a chalky, muddy mess.
Last up is my precious Sigma Tapered Highlight F35. A while ago, I commented how some brushes show my highlight and how some brushes just swallow up the product making me think where did that highlight go. This brush, is the perfect highlighting brush. The shape is so perfect to just give that little highlight sweep wherever you want on the face. It doesn't make the product come out too dense.

Battle of the Sigma Express Cleaning Glove and Sigma Express Cleaning Mat

Let's all admit one thing together. We hate to clean our makeup brushes. I know, it has to be done, but wow is it tedious, right?
A few months ago I received and reviewed the Sigma Express Cleaning Glove which you can read here. Quick summary, I loved it. Since having it, I haven't used anything else because it's so easy and quick. Plus, it also does a great job.
I now have a new addition to the brush cleaning family - The Sigma Express Brush Cleaning Mat. In todays post, I thought I'd do a side by side comparison of the Sigma Express Cleaning Glove and the Sigma Express Brush Cleaning Mat so you can decide which of these magical brush washing tools is for you because as much as I love them both, you probably don't need both.

For starters, let's get the price out there. Both of these products are $25 each. They are super similar products. They both have little patterns and textures which you run your brushes over to give them a good clean. The little bumps help get out all of the dirt, bacteria, foundation, blush, anything virtually from your brushes. I honestly just use a bit of hand antibacterial soap - it's great.
SIGMA EXPRESS CLEANING GLOVE* Simply put, it's a fancy glove that you turn inside out depending on the types of brushes you'd like to wash. One side is for eye brushes, whilst the other is for larger face brushes. As you literally need to put one hand in the glove, this makes brush washing super similar to what you're probably already used to. Instead of running the brush against your hand, you run it against the glove. The difference is that your hand will be less wet, and your brushes will be much cleaner than usual.
Who should buy it? If you have a small collection of brushes, you'd like to be more in in control, and gentle I'd suggest the glove. If you'd like to see my initial, full indepth review, click here..

SIGMA EXPRESS BRUSH CLEANING MAT* Now I personally think this is a level up of the glove. Same idea, same little bumps and textures, same level of cleanliness, but much much quicker. This mat has suction cups which secure onto the sink. Therefore, you don't need to hold it and you have two hands. Aka 2 machines to clean 2 brushes at a much quicker speed. I like to put a bit of soap on two brushes, pop one in each and go through the motions, then rinse each of them separately. Okay, that might sound a bit mechanic so you can also just do one at a time, I guess.
The best part of this is that your hand doesn't get wet and the mat itself is easier to use as you don't have to flip it inside out. For example, with the glove if you wash all of your face brushes, turn it to the eye side and then realise you forgot to wash a face brush, you have to keep flipping it.
Who should buy it? I personally think this is the winner, so I'd say anyone. But I'd especially say that anyone with probably over 10 brushes in rotation all the time, you need dis. It cuts down so much time, no more annoying wet hand and you can multi task!

Best of Beauty 2015

2015 has been quite the year for beauty releases. I think my obsession with makeup definitely grew this year and my expanding makeup collection probably speaks for itself!
Here is my Best of Beauty 2015 post. Not all of these products were released in 2015, but they're definitely my favourites for this year.

Whats a yearly favourites or best off post without an eyeshadow palette!? Earlier this year, I was in debate whether to pick up Urban Decay's Naked 3 because I already had Naked 2. After seeing so many tutorials and gorgeous eye looks by my friends, I decided it was time. Since having this palette, I've barely touched my Naked 2 or Lorac Pro. Something about this palette is just so damn gorgeous! Its buttery, pinky, warm, eyeshadow goodness. Definitely recommend it.
Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop. Do I really need to say more? I'm a creature of habit with my highlighters so I've honestly been using the same one for the past year. But now, oh my gosh. If you own many highlights and you're debating over whether or not to get it, you honestly need to. I've never owned anything as pigmented as this highlighter. I suspect that I'll be using this highlighter for a very, very long time.
Arbonne Cosmetics Smoothed Over Lipstick in Rose. Despite all the rubbish you hear and see online about their products and a small minority of Arbonne representatives, their products are really good. This lipstick has been my number one go to all of this year. It's a gorgeous purply-pinky colour that I think would look incredible on all skin tones. The texture is ridiculously smooth and as you can see from the swatch, super pigmented.
YSL Fusion Ink Foundation is still my favourite high end foundation. Recently, I attended a few events and I finished applying my makeup at 3pm. After the event, I then went to an outdoor cinema. Came home around midnight, and my makeup was still matte. Considering that I'm 100/10 oily, how incredible is that!? If you want to read more about this foundation and my opinion, read here.
Maxfactor Face Finity Primer is probably the number one product that I've been praising this year. No matter what skin type or who asks me, if anyone ever needs a primer, get this one. It's an amazing moisturising texture so your makeup goes on very smooth, but it sinks into your skin and isn't oily. It also has SPF20 which is always a plus.
Last up, two brushes. Sigma Tapered Highlighter F35 and Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection #30. I found that before these two brushes, all of them were just so-so on my skin. These two brushes pick up the exact right amount of highlighter and dispurse it so evenly and flawlessly.

Sigma Spa’s New Express Cleaning Glove

Cleaning makeup brushes is definitely one of the most (if not the most) tedious tasks we all have to do on quite a regular basis. To put it in other words, its a pain in the a#$! Your hand becomes soggy and wrinkled because it takes you a solid hour or two depending on how many brushes that you have.
I've been looking at purchasing a brush cleaning glove for quite some time now and then I was randomly contacted by Sigma to try this product out. Is that a coincidence and a half or what? In today's post I'll be letting you know about how Sigma's New Express Cleaning Glove* has made my brush cleaning life a whooooole lot easier.

Before having this cleaning glove, this is how I cleaned my brushes. I would stand over my bathroom sink, run the warm water, put soap in hand, run the brush under the water, swirl around the brush in my hand, rinse, squeeze excess water out *takes breath* and do it all over again another 5000 times. As mentioned earlier, yep my hand became the saggiest of sag and wrinkliest of wrinkled up hands.

The first time I used this glove, I fell in love. Some of my brushes have been so incredibly stubborn over the years to the point where they refuse to turn back their original colour. As you'll see from the following before and after photos, this glove fixed it all.

How exactly does this product work? Well my friends! This glove is reversible. One side of the glove is for face brushes, whilst the other is more appropriate for eye brushes. There are 7 different textures which allow brushes to go under the process of wash, rinse, refine, rinse, refine plus, rinse. Or, if you're a little lazy like me just wash, rinse, refine and give a thorough rinse. The various textures really help give a deep clean, not just on the tip of the brush hairs but the entire bristles themselves. The glove was not harsh and did not result in any shedding whatsoever.

I would DEFINITELY recommend this if you have a lot of brushes and are sick of brush cleansing taking too much of your precious time. Especially if you're someone like a MUA - you need dis.
