My First Jurlique Skincare Experience and Review

Thursday, May 07, 2015

Jurlique has always been one of those brands that I have been lusting over, but never tried - until now. Today I'll be reviewing the Jurlique Clarifying Deep Cleansing Gel and Jurlique Purely White Skin Brightening Day Cream.

Jurlique Skincare First Impressions, Jurlique Clarifying Deep Cleansing Gel, Jurlique Purely White Skin Brightening Day Cream

The Jurlique Clarifying Deep Cleansing Gelcontains Jojoba Oil and other goodies such as Nettle, Yarrow and Witch Hazel to help clean and exfoliate the face. It claims to be especially good for unclogging dem pores and re-balancing oil. What did I notice? When you first squeeze this product out of its tube it comes out clear and full of small beads. I was worried that this would be scratchy but to my surprise this product provides a very gentle exfoliation. My skin wasn't left feeling sore or tight and also to my surprise my skin was very soft to touch. I prefer to reach for this product in the morning to remove all of my dead skin cells and help smooth my face before makeup application. In terms of unclogging my pores, I definitely think that this product helps but I personally haven't noticed my skin becoming less oily or more balanced in the oil department.

Moving on to the Jurlique Purely White Skin Brightening Day Cream*. This product claims to help combat dark spots and improve an uneven skin tone. The cream is a very thick consistency and I found that it works best when you dot it all over your face and rub it in. I notice a slight white cast that can last quite a few minutes so I make sure I apply it as soon as I get out of the shower. This cream provides my skin with a good amount of moisture where it isn't extremely hydrating but at the same time isn't  the  type of cream you apply and say 'wait, where did it go?'. Since using this product I have noticed a slight improvement in some of my discoloration, especially some of my deeper cystic acne spots. One other thing I should mention is that the product is SPF30 which is especially great for me because I frequently forget to apply sunscreen. I think that if you suffer from dark spots and discolouration this product is definitely worth purchasing!
