Monkey Island & Hot Mud Bath Adventure - Nha Trang Vietnam
Monday, February 23, 2015
This year my family and I visited Nha Trang for the second time. We wanted to venture off and do a few things that we didn't previously do and decided on visiting Monkey Island and a Spa with Natural Mud and Mineral Water Baths.
Firstly, we were off to Monkey Island.
To be honest, my family and I didn't really know what to expect. I mean you can assume Monkey Island is going to be packed filled with monkeys but as you can see in the photos when we first arrived you just see huts and chairs. We were definitely anticipating what was going to come next.
All of a sudden you just see monkeys everywhere. They were all so excited to be fed by us tourists with peanuts that you purchase at the island.
Upon arrival you see many huts and beach chairs lined up - anticipating what is going to come next.

After hearing sad stories of monkeys and their mistreatment in other monkey Islands or Jungles etc; I was a little worried and apprehensive about going. However, we found out that these monkeys are fed twice daily. As a result, they are not vicious or have malnutrition in any way.
After Monkey island we went to THAPBA Spa.
THAPBA Spa was incredibly stunning and offered natural hot mud baths as well as mineral spring water baths and pools. Due to not wanting to get my poor camera infested with steam I only captured some of the overall shots for you.
When I got into a mud bath, I honestly couldn't stop laughing. It was such a strange feeling to be in something both warm and slimey. It also didn't really have a pleasent smell but hey, afterwards my skin felt amazing, so I can't really complain.
Have you ever visited a Monkey Island or Jungle before?
What do you think of hot mud baths?
